Our main attraction is the stave church from Gol in Hallingdal, dated to around year 1200. It is one of only 28 remaining stave churches in Norway. The Open-Air Museum features 160 historic buildings from different national regions, moved and re-erected at the museum grounds through the past 100 years. In summer, the Open-Air Museum comes alive with folk music, folk dance, children's summer school, grazing live stock and hosts in national costumes and traditional dress.
